AGENDA:

(1) Introduction of Guests: From the Klamath County Chamber, Chip Massey & Michael Blakley. (They have allowed our Chamber to take advantage of the ½ page ad in the Klamath Basin News Print.)

Chip said on December 18th they are having an open house at Travel Klamath’s new building @ 205 Riverside St. in K.Falls. Linda asked if it was possible to have a kiosk of our North Klamath area down there. Michael said if they could have a DVD presentation (like a powerpoint) with pics, they could have it on a DVD player there. He said they have a visitor’s Rep. That greets the visitors as they come in. At this time they do have a TV with a DVD player set-up; a Kiosk would be something they’d look into. Chip said they are wanting to beef up the County in January, so they would love information to represent the entire county.
Michael said there are 2 names to contact: Donna@DiscoverKlamath.com and Erin@DiscoverKlamath.com They’ll respond to any questions.

(2) Our next guest: Cindy Deas – Representing the Tear Off Map
She is working on map sales if there is enough support from our area. She sends 19,000 maps to Crater Lake every year.
Linda asked if we could do a North Klamath County combo instead of individual communities? Her reply was that she would need it by December 10th; $80/per business would give them 500 copies each.

(3) Nominating Committee for 2010 Elections: The nominees are in, and Judy Scally motioned we submit them, Barbara Walters seconded. Tina nominates Barbara Walters for Treasurer and Kristy Chancellor seconded. That completes the list of nominees as follows: Kathy Altman, President; Tina Miller, Vice-President; Linda Barron, Secretary; Barbara Walters, Treasurer; Kerry Ellington, Terri Anderson & Chris Shuey as Members-At-Large.
Ballots will be sent out to all members in good standing.

(4) Holiday Bazaar & Fleamarket Fundraiser Report: Tina has a list of people from the previous Flea Market to be notified. She’ll get the list to Kerry & Kathy. Sweet Sensations Jazz team is handling the Concessions.

Comments/New Business:
It was brought up that Bino Fowler has scheduled the dog sled run that will stop at Crescent Lake to rest. We as a Chamber will support them. Kristy Chancellor said that Dan Varcoe, Executive Director of La Pine Chamber of Commerce would like to get involved with us as well on this project.
Tina said the Chemult Sled Dog Race would like to see if they can help as well.
There was some discussion regarding having a stamp made for NKCCC & website. Kristy Chancellor motioned we get a stamp made and Barbara Walters seconded.
Cat Culpepper-Sayer said that the Newberry Eagle is moving in to our area. She is the Account Executive and is excited to bring this publication to our area.
